Livestock

Whether you're running a small poultry farm or a large dairy operation, a reliable water system is crucial. Our pumps are built to handle harsh farm environments, operating efficiently for both water supply and waste management.

Farm-Ready Pumps

Our pumps provide clean water for animals and manage farm waste efficiently under demanding conditions.

Step 1.
Know your water needs

Animals need a lot of water every day, and the more you have, the more water you’ll need to supply. For example, one cow can drink up to 30 gallons a day, and even chickens can use a surprising amount when you have hundreds of them. That’s why it’s important to choose a pump that can move enough water quickly.

Step 2.
Calculate the lift and head

The height of the water tank and under water are regarded as vertical distance. The distance between the pump and the water tank is considered as horizontal distance, with these information, we can roughly calculate the head of the pump.

Step 3.
Pair with right solar panel

The solar panel array should be 1.3 times the water pump's power, with voltage matching the pump's range.

Find your pump

What you need to know:

What is your water source?

Borehole (deep well) → needs a submersible pump because you can’t lift water more than ~25 ft with surface pumps.
River, pond, or tank (surface source) → you can use a surface centrifugal pump, jet pump, or solar surface pump.

How to calculate flow rate?

Required GPM = Total Daily Water Need (gallons) ÷ Pump Operating Time (minutes)

For example:
If you have 20 cows, and your pump is going to run 3 hours/day (180 min)
Total daily water need =20 cows × 25 gal/day = 500 gallons/day
Required GPM = 500 ÷ 180 ≈ 2.8 GPM
In this case, a pump rated 4-6 GPM is recommended.

How to calculate head

Lift head = H1 + H2 + 10%L

For example:
If you're pumping from a pond to an overhead tank with a sprinkler system:
Total vertical lift (H1+H2) = 25 ft
Horizontal distance = 95ft
Lift head = 25+0.1*95 = 34.5 ft
Ideal lift head = 34.5*1.3 = 45 ft
In this case, pump rated > 45ft is recommended.
